Being clipped into your road bike is like accepting that one day you're going to eat pavement.
But it's nice to christen a new bike with some blood from your palms. Then it really becomes yours.

- The longest I've ever run is 10 miles. That was 2 years ago. After I painstakingly finished the 10 miles I kept looking over my shoulder hoping a cab would come by (it didn't). It took me longer to walk the 3 miles home than it should have. Since then I've been wanting to get back into it, and train smarter. And ever since Vikki passed away I've been thinking of ways I could contribute to let her know that we think about her more than the psychologist said we should. But we love her and every step it's honoring her life and the people working for patients like her.
